The most popular smartphone series since many years is the Redmi Note series.And in that, we have the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G. And this is the Indian variant & it's different.Yes, there are many things that are different. There's not much difference between the Chinese variant & this one.But there are some things that you should know. It's a very interesting phone & there are some things that you don't get in a phone under Rs 30K. I don't know the price when I'm unboxing it, but I'm expecting it to be around Rs 25-30K.
Look at this, it's written Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus 5G, that's dabout it. And then you have a sim card tool, documentation & a black case. It's a decent quality case, but look at that camera module. Oh my God! These camera modules are getting bigger & bigger. There's a 120W charger, USB Type A to Type C. There's a charger & obviously the charging cable.That's about it. Let's keep it aside & look at the phone. Note? It's not like the Note you've seen till now. It has a vegan leather finish & there are different colours. There's light blue at the bottom, dark at the top & light green at the bottom. There's even more light green & Redmi's branding. It's a completely different look of this phone. I don't understand why there's such a big camera module. Just give me the case & let's see. Oh, it looks nice! Look at this. It looks good with the case. The big opening in the case should be visible, but the camera is on one side.

There's a 200MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultrawide sensor & HP3 sensor instead of the HPX sensor. There's also a 16MP selfie sensor. And as always, there are many photos in the original quality in different conditions. I'm giving you the G-Drive link, do check it out if you're thinking of buying this phone.The photos are good in normal conditions but the camera isn't the strong point. And remember, the competition has increased a lot in 2024.There are many other phones too. We're still looking for the best camera & smartphone under It's not that good, but 2024 might change that. There's 1 benefit of 200MP, it has lossless zoom. You can zoom in 2x or 4x. But overall, I was expecting more from this camera. Especially if you look at the macro, the videos & photos. There's a bit of colour shift from the ultrawide to the normal But if I talk about the video, you can shoot 4K at 30FPS with the rear camera. The front camera is FHD but you can shoot at 60FPS.
If I talk about the features, there are a lot of features. You can scan documents, there's a 200MP native mode, portrait mode, video mode, night mode, time lapse, slow motion mode, Al watermark, short film mode, panorama, there are a lot of filters. So again, there are a lot of features in the feature packed camera app. There's a feature here, if you click a photo from 200MP ,for example, I'll click a photo of myself. If I talk about the display, it's 6.7" with 1.5K resolution & 120Hz AMOLED display. The Note 12 Pro Plus had FHD+, now it has 1.5K. It has 1800 nits peak brightness & has a 93% screen to body ratio. If I talk about the bezels, the side bezels are non-existent. Even the chin & upper bezels are very thin. The display is very nice, even the colours look good. It's a very good quality display. It has HDR10+, Dolby Vision support. So if you see high HDR on Netflix with Dolby Vision, you're going to enjoy this..
Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Specification:-
Let's talk about the specifications & reduce the volume.It comes with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Ultra, which is the base variant with 8GB RAM & 256GB storage. It comes with LPDDR5 RAM type & UFS 3.1 storage type. So that's good! If I talk about the AnTuTu score, it's around 7.5L. It has a 5000mAh battery with 120W charging. And in 19 minutes, it charges from 1% to 100%. It gets fully charged in under 20 minutes.So that's nice! There's also support for virtual RAM. It's been in the water for so long & it's still working well. You can hear it & the video is playing. It looks so clear from inside the water. IP68 is good!

Sensors are present, they're not side mounted. There's an in-display fingerprint sensor, face unlock, they work very well. There's an extra chip in it. These days, different brands have started adding their own chips. There's a Surge B1 chip in it. Basically, it helps with fast charging to check the battery health. So what do I think about the Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus? It's price is Rs 32K but with offers, the effective price is under Rs 30K. So I'd say it's definitely an IP68. The display is very good & the looks are also very different. It looks different, that's for sure! In terms of performance, I'd say it's decent. Camera, definitely I'll say it's ok. It has a vegan leather back & use it with the case or else it'll get dirty. There's Gorilla Glass Victus protection for a mid range phone. I'd say it's a premium mid range phone as Rs 25-30K is a little more. In that, you get Gorilla Glass Victus protection. In terms of protection, this one is really good. Let's drop it & see. Let's weigh it first. It's under 200g. I'd say it's around 202g. Because I say less & it's more. It's around 205g. Let's see. I was saying it's around 200g. If I'd said it's around 200g, I'd have been accurate. It's not very light & it's not very heavy. The feel in the hands of this phone is good. It comes with an IP68 certification & that's why we've brought this for you. We're going to soak it. Wait for that, it's going to be fun. But in terms of ports & buttons, there's everything. The sim card tray is dedicated. No, it's not There's a dual nano sim card slot. The base variant is 256GB so that's ok.But still, it should be there.
Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Multimedia:-
I'm talking about the multimedia right now.It has stereo speakers, great audio quality & a great display for multimedia. It's an absolutely great device! Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus Praformance:-
If I talk about the gaming, you can play HDR at 60FPS.You can play BGMI, COD Mobile at 90FPS. But you can play it in HDR & it's decent. The gaming performance is good. We ran the CPU throttle test for 30 minutes & it was 84-85%which is very good. The USB port is Type C 2.0.It's fantastic & there's no problem. It has IP68 certification & it's dust & water resistant. We kept it in the water for 5-8 minutes & there was absolutely nothing.
Redmi Note 13 Pro Plus OS+UI:-
Let's talk about the OS. It has MIUI 14 which is based on Android 13. Xiaomi has said that they'll give 3-4 year security updates. MIUI 14 is based on Android 13 but it's HyperOS ready which means you'll get the updates very soon. So you'll get HyperOS with 2 major updates i.e. 15 & 16 & 4 year security updates. One more thing I'd like to say is that it's MIUI 14.So when we were setting it up, we definitely saw some dark patterns. And there are 7-8 pre-installed games. You can uninstall them but it's important to mention them. Connectivity! It's a 5G phone & all the bands in India support it. There's dual 4G VoLTE WiFi calling, WiFi 6 & Bluetooth 5.3. There's also NFC! This time they've also given NFC. So connectivity options are all there.It doesn't have FM radio. Both the dialers are available, MIUI & Google. So if you want to record a call, you can do it. Cameras! If you compare it with the 12 Pro+, it's a big upgrade.
